    eagles, eagle`s, eagles^, eaglesfly...

these are nicknames I use on internet chat

    why?

well, there's a bit of a story associated with this.
You can find out further down...

I'm working on a page and a link which will explain what I believe the end-times prophecies REALLY say... in the meantime, enjoy the rest of my page !

There are two main reasons for my choice of 'eagles' as a nickname...

The first comes from a verse in scripture, and because I am an old guy, I shall quote
the 1611 translation into the English language, incorrectly called by many
    the 'King James' Version.

(Actually, the correct name for this translation is the 'Authorised Version'
which was produced at the instruction of King James 1st of England,
and 'appointed to be read in churches' throughout his kingdom on its completion
by a committee of scholars of that day).

The second is from references in a musical work, a classical oratorio called
'The Jerusalem Passion' (which was composed in 1987) where we find a
prophetic message of unity in the end times, spelled out from scripture
and from the composer's poetic paraphrasing.

You may like to look at these images of eagles
    from Australia's leading wildlife photographer,

    Nicholas Birks

who has a website at http://www.wildflight.com.au.

Nicholas has photographed an enormous range of birds and animals,
and we show these small images here as a taste whetter!

Please do not steal his images, but do him the courtesy of buying the ones you like.

the picture below is actually of an osprey (a member of the same family)

here is a screen capture of a beautiful image sent to me on a card through
ICQ by my wife. The original may be viewed at http://www.angelfire.com,
and it is an animated 'lake' applet, which shows the water rippling.

    The Benefits of Turbulent Winds

    TURBULENT WINDS...
CAUSE THE EAGLE TO FLY HIGHER
    .

Life's troubles should cause the Christian to seek closer fellowship with the Lord.
Troubles should cause us to fly higher.

    TURBULENT WINDS...
GIVE THE EAGLE A LARGER VIEW.

When our lives are touched by troubles and we flee to God
we begin to see the reason and result of lower living.

    TURBULENT WINDS...
    LIFT THE EAGLE ABOVE HARRASSMENT
    FROM OTHER BIRDS OF PREY.

As we walk with the Lord it is difficult, if not impossible,
for us to be harassed by the troubles or troubler of life.

    TURBULENT WINDS...
ALLOW THE EAGLE TO USE LESS EFFORT.

We struggle the most when we live in lower spiritual altitudes.
If we draw nigh to God, we will find how really simple life is meant to be.

    TURBULENT WINDS...
ALLOW THE EAGLE TO STAY UP LONGER.

When we experience fellowship with God; His peace, comfort and love,
there will be a desire to remain close to Him.
When troubles come we learn immediately to stretch forth our wings and fly high into the presence of the Lord.

    TURBULENT WINDS...
HELP THE EAGLE TO FLY FASTER.

The more we soar above the cares and troubles of life, the more effective
we will be in accomplishing the work God has called every Christian to -
Glorifying Him and evangelizng the world in which we live.

(I received this in a forwarded email from a Californian address.
A very warm 'thank-you' to the original author and the person who sent it to me :) )
