We have put this site together, hopefully containing as much stuff as you will ever need.

Some information you probably won't need (lol !), but it is included in case (like Julius Sumner Miller) you wondered... "Why is this so?"

Like the Channel's website, use the menu bars at the bottom to navigate past what you don't want to read, to what you do. There's practical stuff like commands you can use, some of which don't always work (and why not).

There's historical stuff about IRC in general, and Undernet and Starlink-IRC in particular.

Importantly, information has been gathered from several sources - we are trying to make this a one-stop shop for most questions and answers.

There is also a help index about what to do and how to go about it to get help from outside the channel on a range of stuff.

A help-desk is only as good as the info that has been collected. If you spot something wrong - even a humble typo (!) - or something more important - please let us know so that it can be corrected.

Also, if you have any suggestions for additions, please email them in so that they can be checked out and added.

To check who are ops at what level of responsibility (not level of authority), you need to check in either the channel service bot (X in Undernet, CStar in Starlink-IRC) or in the logos bible bot. Logos requires a DCC connection into the partyline.

We try to save frequently a recent copy of the chaninfo page on Undernet's website site because Undernet's X works differently from other networks' channel service. You can read the most recently saved one here.
